Washington County company acquires Beaver Falls steel business

Precision Marshall Steel, a steel products distributor based in Washington County, acquired DB&S Steel of Beaver Falls, Beaver County.

The price was not disclosed.

Precision Marshall Steel said it will integrate DB&S’ production equipment and distribution network into its business and offer jobs to DB&S employees.

Precision Marshall supplies tool steel, alloy plates and other products for the automotive, appliance, aerospace and defense industries.

It has 75 employees at its headquarters in Washington, Washington County, and at facilities in Bolingbrook, Ill., and Hartford, Conn.

DB&S, which sells products made from thin gauge tool steels to metal distributors, employs 30, said owner David Herring.

Employees will complete work in progress and the Beaver County plant will close in the next week or so, he said.
