The Washington County Chamber of Commerce and our chamber partners are committed to helping our joint memberships as well as other businesses across Washington County during and after this unprecedented public health crisis. Now that the coronavirus has made its way to Pennsylvania and our region, businesses are seeking information to help their companies, their employees and their families prepare and respond to the challenges ahead.

At our chambers, we remain dedicated to providing leadership during this time of uncertainty and will provide this page as an evolving access point for information, guidance, and recovery programs that become available over the next several weeks and months.

BUSINESS RESOURCES:

CARES Rental & Mortgage assistance funding for Pennsylvanians

The federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act, is a law to help people hurt financially by the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. CARES assistance is now available in Pennsylvania for rent relief and mortgage relief.

COVID-19 Relief Pennsylvania Statewide Small Business Assistance Program

This grant program is open to Pennsylvania based small businesses with revenues less than $1M and less than 25 FTE employees. The program will provide grantsranging from $5K to $50K, based on revenues.

U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Assistance

The SBA offers designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA):

ON March 25, 2020, Governor Wolf officially announced the PIDA COVID-19 Working Capital Access (CWCA) Program.

The COVID-19 Working Capital Access (CWCA) Program is administered by the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) and provides critical working capital financing to small businesses located within the Commonwealth that are adversely impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

All CWCA loan applications must be submitted through a Certified Economic Development Organization (CEDO). For the list of CEDOs in Pennsylvania, please refer to the CEDO webpage.

The Hebrew Free Loan Association Pittsburgh

The Coronavirus Financial Bridge Loan Program provides interest-free loans on a nonsectarian basis for up to $5,000 to residents of Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Westmoreland, Washington, and Armstrong counties who are facing financial challenges caused by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak. These loans are intended to address: Lost wages due to being unable to go to work, Childcare costs due to school closures, Small business losses, Canceled study abroad programs, and/or Related medical costs
