LIBERTY POLE SPIRITS DOUBLES CAPACITY WITH NEW DISTILLATION EQUIPMENT
Responding to growing demand for their craft distilled
whiskeys, Liberty Pole Spirits (libertypolespirits.com), a family owned and
operated grain to glass distillery in Washington, PA, will double their
production capacity with the arrival today of their new 600 gallon distillation
equipment from Specific Mechanical Systems of Victoria, British Columbia. The
new system will replace the original 300 gallon system that Liberty Pole has
been using to produce award winning whiskeys since they opened in July of 2016.
Determined to maintain the flavor profile of their small batch whiskey, which
is greatly influenced by still shape and design, Specific Mechanical Systems
built Liberty Pole's 600 gallon copper pot still according to exact
specifications to replicate the shape and dimensions of their original pot
still.
Liberty Pole Spirits honors the history of whiskey
distilling in Western Pennsylvania and the role the farmer distillers of the
late 1700’s played in the Whiskey Rebellion. They serve craft cocktails on
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in their colonial themed tasting room and
offer distillery tours on Saturdays. They have a singular focus on whiskey and
their core portfolio includes Bassett Town, Rye, Corn, Bourbon, and Peated
Bourbon whiskeys as well as a seasonal Bourbon Cream Liqueur.
Demonstrating their strong commitment to community, Chapman Corporation, a multi discipline contracting company headquartered across the railroad tracks from Liberty Pole in Washington, is offering their services to provide the material handling equipment and expertise to unload and setup this precious cargo. All of us at Liberty Pole thank them for their valuable assistance!
