Hog Father’s has returned to Washington Crown Center.

The local barbecue chain opened a restaurant Wednesday in the food court of the mall, where it had operated until closing in January 2017.

“It made sense to reopen there,” said Frank Puskarich, owner/operator of Hog Father’s. “This place is jumping.”

He said he was contemplating a return when Civil Knox, assistant marketing director and office manager of the mall in North Franklin Township, inquired about possibly coming back.

Puskarich said he was pleased with Wednesday’s turnout at Hog Father’s revival at Crown Center. “That was one of our best days.”

Hog Father’s will be open during regular mall hours every day of the week. The chain now has four locations: Crown Center, Washington, Canonsburg and State College.
